First Aid Requirements for BC Construction Sites
Construction is BC's largest moderate-to-high hazard industry, and first aid is written directly into every compliant site plan.
What WorkSafeBC expects
Small residential sites may only need a Level 1 attendant and a basic kit. Large commercial or civil sites typically need multiple Level 2 attendants, a Level 3 where EMS is distant, a fully stocked first aid room, and designated emergency transport.
How group bookings fit
Most GCs book onsite group Intermediate First Aid training before a project mobilises. Our employer checklist lists what to have ready before calling.
