First Aid in Remote BC Workplaces

Remote BC worksites face a unique challenge: EMS may be hours away. First aid coverage scales up accordingly.

  • Logging and forestry camps
  • Commercial fishing boats
  • Remote construction (highway, pipeline, transmission)
  • Mine sites
  • Ski and backcountry operations

Coverage typically required

At minimum Level 2, often Level 3 attendants on site. Dedicated emergency transport with communications. First aid room. Satellite communications. See Schedule 3-A.
