Upgrading From OFA Level 2 to Level 3: When and Why
Upgrading from OFA Level 2 to Level 3 is a big time commitment but can pay off for the right BC worker.
When it makes sense
- You want to work logging, mining, oil and gas, or other remote industries
- You want to be a primary first aid attendant at camps or remote sites
- You want the highest workplace first aid credential in BC
What it takes
Ten days, 80+ hours. Significantly more clinical content. Same three-year validity.
How Level 2 helps
Level 3 builds directly on Level 2 skills. Going straight to Level 3 without Level 2 experience is harder. See OFA Level 2 overview.
