First Aid Documentation and Reporting in BC

The incident report is part of every BC workplace first aid response. WorkSafeBC and the employer both expect it, and the Level 2 attendant is typically the one filling it out.

What to record

  • Date, time, location
  • Patient name and ID
  • Mechanism of injury
  • Assessment findings
  • Treatments provided
  • Transport details
  • Your signature

Why it matters

WorkSafeBC claims, legal cases, and trend data all depend on accurate reporting. Do it immediately after the call, while details are fresh. See Schedule 3-A.
