WorkSafeBC First Aid Kit Requirements

WorkSafeBC specifies exactly what goes in a basic, intermediate or advanced BC workplace first aid kit. Kits must be inspected regularly and restocked after every use.

Basic kit

Adhesive bandages, gauze pads, triangular bandages, antiseptic wipes, gloves, scissors, tweezers, pocket mask, blanket, first aid manual.

Intermediate kit (Level 2)

Everything in basic plus oxygen delivery equipment, BVM, airway adjuncts (OPA/NPA sets), tourniquets, splints, stretcher or equivalent, suction device.

Advanced kit (Level 3)

Full Level 2 plus advanced airway supplies, additional oxygen capacity, comprehensive splinting, spine boards, triage supplies.
